Learn about the most important parts for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems treat the air at a specific temperature and distribute it to the place, and the treatment also includes controlling the temperature and humidity of the air so that it is redistributed in specific and selected areas, and one of the most important things you should know is the spare parts required for all units of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Some companies focus on the maintenance and repair of one type of air conditioner such as air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems, while others such as Alfa  in repairing all types of air conditioners and heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems to provide all the required spare parts for all systems and units.

Below we will show the different types of spare parts required to repair HVAC systems that must be acquired during immediate repairs and maintenance. Some adaptation parts can be completely broken down and through the expertise of our technicians at Alfa and some measurements we identify the broken piece and replace it. The most important and common spare parts in HVAC systems are:

The development of HVAC systems and their spare parts is a matter of concern for many professionals in this field, and repairing and maintaining existing systems is the task of competent companies.

  • HVAC system Fan

The fan is one of the most important parts of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, as the system is completely disrupted in the absence of any part of it from work, and it consists of:

  • HVAC system Compressors

Compressors in HVAC systems compress the coolant gas to heat it according to Boyle’s law of air distribution, which states that air moves from hotter to cooler.

You can conclude that the compressor heats the required gas by compressing it to rise above the external medium in order to distribute it, and there are many different compressors, the most important of which are:

  •  SCROLL COMPRESSOR: Which consists of windings, one fixed and the other mobile to help push the cooled steam and compress it towards the center of the compressor. In addition to preventing the pressurized coolant from leaving during the exit cycle.
  •  COMPRESSOR INVERTER: Inverter compressor technology continuously adjusts the compressor speed to maintain the required temperatures, and saves energy because it has an energy-saving operating rate that makes it better than conventional compressors, and thanks to inverter compressors, air is expelled faster and farther away.
  • HVAC system Condenser

The condensation cycle is the most important step in the work of HVAC systems, so it is important to replace any of the following parts immediately through specialized maintenance companies such as Alfa:

  •  CONDENSER COIL: The condenser is placed in the external air conditioning unit, and it works to receive compressed gas and high heat from the compressor to spread it into the outside air, unlike an evaporator that contains a cold coolant; the condenser contains a hot coolant. When heat is diffused outside, the coolant turns back into a rushing liquid towards the expansion valves.
  •  CRANKCASE HEATER: It is an electric heater that contains oil to facilitate the movement of mechanical parts and prevent refrigerant from moving to different unwanted places or at the wrong times.
  • EVAPORATOR COIL: It is the coil through which heat is captured from the outer medium, and it also contains copper tubes that work to receive cold pressurized liquids.

Valves for heating, ventilation and air conditioning system

Valves are one of the most important parts of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, as they work with the condenser and evaporator through:

  •  EXPANSION VALVE: Which cools the cooled liquid before it enters the evaporator, that is, it lowers the pressure of the liquid coolant to become a gas again.
  •  SOLENOID VALVE: It is used to adjust the direction and flow rate of the coolant liquid.
  • INVERTER VALVES: They are used to pass the coolant gas in a specific path through which the device is operated and when its coil is fed with current, it changes the path of the refrigerant gas to make the condenser (evaporator) and make the evaporator (condenser) and the device works as a heating system. When the current is disconnected from its coil, it returns to its original state as a cooling system.

HVAC system switches

Switches maintain the water and energy levels of the HVAC system by:

  •  FLOAT SWITCH: The switch is activated when the water level in the chamber becomes higher than the specified level as a result of clogging of the drain pumps, and when the switch is working it sends signals to the system to stop its work to prevent water from collecting in the HVAC system to prevent the system from completely collapsing.
  •  HIGH PRESSURE SWITCH: Which conducts electricity to the system when the pressure becomes high above the predetermined level.
  •  LOW PRESSURE SWITCH: Which works to deliver electricity to the system when the pressure becomes low at a predetermined level.

There are some other parts that are important and need regular maintenance of HVAC systems, such as:

  •  AIR FILTERS: The air filter purifies the cooled air to be spread in the middle fresh and clean, and it is good to clean it periodically because it is filled with dirt, otherwise the effectiveness of the system will decrease.
  •  REMOTE CONTROLS: Sometimes the controls break down, which prevents the user from benefiting from heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Here, the only solution is to replace the remote control because all modern systems have no other way to control it.
  •  DRAIN PUMPS: These pumps are essential in HVAC systems to drain the water generated by the air conditioning and are formed as a result of the withdrawal of moisture from the air of the rooms, collected and disposed of.
  •  MAGNETIC CONTACTOR: Which works to switch between the start and stop state of the engine.
  •  ELECTRONIC THERMOSTAT: A device that senses the temperature of the place and maintains it within the required temperature or approximately.
  •  THERMISTOR PROPES: It is the piece that senses room temperature.
  •  PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS EXPANSION: They are electronic circuits with a basic function in the work of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, and they are highly perishable, so they may be replaced several times during the life of the units.
  • Refrigerant gas: It is the basic freon gas in the work of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems; it may need immediate maintenance by specialists in the event of any leakage or shortage of gas.

These parts are the basic components of HVAC systems that you need to know well, whether you are an engineer or technician specialized in the field or the owner of an HVAC system that needs maintenance, and for immediate detection or maintenance on your HVAC system just contact the Alfa team through:
